Before enrolling in La Salle,
I used to wonder why people keep telling me La Salle is a good school.
Some say the quality of design the students produced were magnificent.
Others say that the modules were relevant to your course.
And finally, today, I got my answer.
I'm telling you now.
For you people out there who wants to enrol in La Salle.
Be prepared to get drilled.
The critic session was an eye opener for me.
Lecturer (Tito): "You are not a decorator but a designer so work on it. Present your work neatly. Take photos of every work in the right angle. Pay attention to every detail. If you choose to use a pin, use 1 colour."
Me (thoughts): "Shit! Dang... I'm sure gonna get busted"
Lecturer (Isabel): "Be extra careful with your spellings. Remember symbols and semiotics. They are the most important aspect in your logo design"
Me (thoughts): "Yes yes.. noted. Freak.. why they must be so precise? Sue, its for your own good"
These are some of the comments that the lecturers gave to us generally. Trust me, it can be worst than this. Even though you think that your designs are great, think again.
They are fierce.
They can be really mean.
But it's for our own good.
They do not give a damn whether you're sick.
3 years.
I'm hoping to see myself improve.
running free and WILD.
